We are doing the same installation in the same airplane. How far along are
you?
Wings, and canard was ready before I bought kit. Since Aug19'99 I done
Fuselage, gears, strikes, windows, seats, Fuel system, and now working
on engine.
Wondering what the reason would be for having the one-way check valves in
the gravity feed lines between the main tanks and the sump tank.
Velocity had a few problems with disbalance due to fuel redistribution, due to
not properly sealed fuel cup. In similar case, this valves will prevent
against any back flow.
Can one use a 1/4" return line from the pressure regulator to the sump
tank?
I do not think it is great idea to have fuel line less then 3/8 for 150+ horse
power engine. Starvation...
After realizing there would be less than 1 qt of fuel trapped behind the
gear well; I did not put in the 1/4 line from one of the mains, and would
like to use the exiting fitting on the sump tank for the return.
Practically it is around 5 gallons by my test will be left if do not
install 1/4
behind the gear well. For me it is still same fuel (5+5 = 10 gal).
