My question for Jeff is "what are the noise

effects of stators behind

the prop?"  I'm installing my old duct1 stators

now in duct2, have never

flown with stators yet.  Of course these have to

be on radials, but I'm

not sure what distance to place them behind the

prop either.  I'm making

the whole 7-blade assembly removable so I can

relocate it.

If you place the stators properly you can make a damn

effective axial flow siren- on the subject of noise I
am sure that Paul can attest to the fact that the
"new" groan (my selected spelling) auto gyro set a new
record for unpleasant sound at Sun N Fun
