As I recall the silicon option is real expensive.

Another good reason to put them in the firewall. My hat section mount
as shown on the ACRE NL web site has them mounted in the steel hat section
cross member which is several inches away from the engine 
and which conducts less heat than an aluminum plate under the engine.

Another advantage of the steel cross member is the torque loads
on the rubber mount are lower so the vibration transmission through the 
rubber is less.
