Last summer we had a private pilot lose oil pressure about 3 miles from ROC
and safely put a  it down in the parking lot of our local mall here in
Henrietta.  Luckily it was an early sunday morning and  there were almost
no cars in the lot.  I don't recall what model plane it was, as by the time
I had heard about and drove over for a look see, they already had the wings
off, and it was on a trailer heading back to the airport. I believe someone
said it was a Skyhawk.

Must've been some sight from inside the cockpit...all those tall light
poles at the sides of his landing path!

My problem with them is getting them slow enough to land short :-)
Great airplane if you are good with it. I have too much 182
time and it is hard for me to believe that a 172 will fly
that slow :-)
