No, you're very perceptive, that's probably it!  Every 30kmiles
I think they're supposed to be changed.

About spark plugs:
A few weeks ago I was climbing out and at 1000' had a sudden
slight loss of power, first noticed as a change in the sound
of the engine, then noticed about 200 rpm drop, and a reduction
in climb rate.  So I stayed in the pattern and landed.

Pulled the plugs and the center electrode on the front leading
plug was nearly gone!  These plugs only had 100 hours on them.
The other three looked pretty good.  I thought 100 hours was a
rather short interval so I asked Tracy how often he changed his
plugs.  He said he changes them every 200-250 hours.  So maybe
this was just a bad plug?  Any ideas why only the front leading
plug would wear faster than the others?

I replaced all four and now it runs as good as ever.
