Paul, A friend putting a 3 blade hartzell on a comanche was told by Hartzell
rep untoward vibration was resulting from having mounted the prop 180
degrees out. I'm no good at math and wasn't sure how you could mount a 3
blade 180 out. They did what hartzell told them to do. Vibration went
away. This happened last week.

For a good book on the vibration of aircraft piston engines
try the Sky Ranch Engineering Manual $25 (916) 421 9672 Sacramento CA

Basically the aircraft piston engine is a mess when it comes to vibration
compared to the rotary :-)
