After reading about the Leon brothers from Venezuela that put two Suzuki Swift engines in a Cozy MkIV via twin counter-rotating props, I thought why not use 13b's instead?  Their plane has been featured in Sport Aviation on at least two occasions.  The beauty of the design is the lack of twin-engine safety without the adverse yaw effects of operating on one engine.  The article states that they routinely shut down one engine for economy cruise.  They flew it from Venezuela to Oshkosh at least twice.  On their last trip home they lost an engine due to ignition coil failure and diverted to the island of Bimini and landed safely on one engine.  They initially had harmonic vibration problems which were solved by separating and rubber mounting both engines.
After reading those two articles, I began to think about doing the same thing, using twin 13b's.  Not being an engineer, I have only done some preliminary sketches.  I still think it would be a cool, and very safe plane, if not a bit heavy.  Has anyone done this before?  I would be interested in hearing the groups ideas/comments.
