rec.aviation.homebuilt.
So Jim graciously re-designed the unit and sent it in to kitplanes. One of the big
changes is that a much smaller sensor plate is now used, that might fit in a small
tank, a sending "tower", or even with a pair of plates along the spar of a long,
thin wing tank. Only need about 50" square with the new version.
I've also often wondered why a sensitive pressure sensor mounted at the bottom of a
tank, with a reference sensor at cabin pressure, could not be easily calibrated to
give direct fuel quantity readouts from any tank.
