Isn't the logic circuitry for something like this very simple? It would certainly
make measuring long, thin, wing tanks with a lot of dihedral much easier -- and no
moving parts. The availability of an inexpensive, gas-tolerant sensor in the right
pressure range would seem to be the major limiting factor.
