I have heard this before.  Not sure of the validity.  WWII fighters used to
have water injection, but for a different reason.

If you had a ventury in the intake
system, you could use this a source for pulling in the water in proportion
to the air velocity through the intake.  Might work for oil as well.

I though JC Whitney had water injection kits...to reduce detonation or
something like that.
