These look good. I am going to clean this engine up and put
it back together with the original seals and new teflon encapsulated
silicone O-rings. If I put new seals in it it, new rotor housings and
lap and re-nitride the end housing it might take me the rest of my life to
find out how long it will last :-) I am more into R&D then I am into
merely flying around in a rotary powered airplane.
BTW I suspect that routing the oil sump blow by back to the intake as
commonly
done in cars now is not good. Aircraft engines have the crankcase vented
over board. That blow by probably includes some acidic steam from
condensed
water vapor not to mention escaped combustion gases.

BTW I was thinking about an oil sludge separator. I suppose the filter gets
it all out? Perhaps nobody ever changed the filter on this filthy engine of mine
and the bypass activated.
