motor mount we have been using. Tracy and Chuck now use small rubber

bushings mounted

in close to the engine. Only about 14 to 16 inches apart. IMHO it will help

to move

them outboard as the compression will be less under the torque
load from the prop.

Some of the vibration is probably coming from torque pulses. If the mounts
on the firewall are widely spaced both vertically and horizontally then
the rubber bushing will be deflected less in the plane of the firewall
and they should not bottom out and go into a high stiffness region of their
travel. They should in theory work better. Of course you always have various
and assorted sympathetic resonance's to contend with so things are not cast
in concrete so to speak :-).
