I have the 33AH battery in the stock location behind the firewall in a box
between the rudder pedals. I also have a backup battery 17AmpHour behind the
firewall (same arm) but mounted up higher, it weighs 12 lbs. This extra
battery may not be necessary- I flew with the alternator turned off for 1
hour and the battery voltage only went down to 12.2 volts.
