The Chev V8 racing world is slowly moving towards parallel cooling.
Note the normal water outlet just in front the of the carb is
blocked off
completely. The water still goes in the front of the block and works
its
way towards the rear and up into the cylinder heads. Perhaps we can
learn something from this and apply it to the rotary.

The Orenda Chev V8 based aircraft engine has taken this one step
further with
cast on water manifolds feeding water into each cylinder in
parallel.
One on the outside of each bank of cylinders.
The water cooled Continental Voyager series engines are also
parallel
cooling as have been most water cooled aircraft engines for the
past 100 years.

I don't remember that Virg. I used to work on them when I was twelve
in 1947.
