Had a long talk with Jim Mederer owner of Racing Beat today.
He has between 100 and 200 hours on the two 900 HP turbo three
rotors so far. Not all at full power and he has had some troubles.
He feels 300 HP per rotor is a bit much for continuos use. I would guess 
200 HP per rotor is a more realistic number at this stage of development. 

He also feels that pumping a lot of coolant through the engine helps. His pump is
rated at 60 GPH. He has not installed thermocouples in the rotor housing
however but monitors the water temp in the rear housing. He also said it is
a bad idea to bypass water from the back of the block to the rad as it
is needed to warm the intake side of the engine and reduce its tendency to
go into a mild banana shape. 

He is very happy with the flame sprayed coating on the 
aluminum end housings. He is selling them for about $1700 for the center
and rear housing. No plans for an aluminum front housing yet.

BTW He felt the new side exhaust port rotary is improved in every
way with lower fuel consumption, better low speed torque and lower exhaust 
gas temperatures. He is very excited about that engine but feels it is still 
about two  years away.
