            BGF Industries, Inc., a major
            supplier of high performance
            fabrics for many industrial uses,
            introduces a new line of
            insulation products called, Thermalzone? Insulation.
            Thermalzone products are mechanically bonded nonwoven
            mats ranging from 1/8" to 1" thickness and made from high
            performance fiberglass, basalt, and silica fibers. Thermalzone
            products are marketed under the trade names Techmat®,
            Basalt Mat, and Silica Mat and each provides a specific
            temperature zone of thermal protection.

            Techmat® is a 100% glass fiber blanket of uniform weight and
            density which provides superior performance for operating
            temperatures up to 1000ºF. Techmat® also has excellent
            acoustical properties and is highly effective as sound
            absorption particularly in automotive applications. This
            product and its predecessor, BGFMAT® have long been a
            mainstay of the BGF Nonwovens Division.

            Basalt Mat is made from 100% basalt fibers. Basalt fibers are
            recognized for their excellent thermal properties in very high
            temperatures. BasaltMat will withstand temperatures of up to
            1500ºF. Some of the potential uses for Basalt Mat are jet
            engine insulation, turbines, furnaces, and exhaust systems.

            Silica Mat? is made from 98% silica fibers. Silica fibers are
            used in extremely high operating temperatures for critical
            thermal applications. Silica Mat will withstand temperatures
            of up to 2000ºF. Some of the potential uses for Silica Mat are
            industrial furnaces, turbines, engine exhaust systems, and
            other applications where operating conditions generate
            extremely high temperatures.

            Thermalzone? products are manufactured on state-of-the-art
            equipment at the BGF Industrial Nonwovens facility in
            Altavista, Virginia. The fibers are non-respirable 9 micron
            filament diameter, have low thermal conductivity, and no shot
            content. They also provide excellent chemical resistance,
            sound absorption, and drapeability with neglible moisture
            absorption. These products are available in thicknesses from
            1/8" to 1" .
