change gear set cost less than $100.00 per set, new and will stand up to
anything. The shafts are cheap also.
Lynn, thx for the input. Do you know who makes these, or how I can research
this?
Coleman Racing products, (906)863-7883 sells two sizes. 1 3/8" wide and 1 5/8" wide. Spur ratios from 1:1 to 1:1.72. Also the rear end manufacturers have the gears and the shafts. Speedway engineering and Winters performance co. The 1:1.17 is too tall for a rotary to pull, but would be OK for a V-6 or V-8. You could build a lay shaft style gearbox and run two sets of gears to get any ratio required.
