I got my new boring head installed on my mill and the material came in so
I am getting ready to make the new redrive/mm plate. I have machined an
insert on the lathe with a 3/8 pin for Tracy's redrive plate so I can

align it with the

new plate and match drill all the mounting holes. The oil seal that came

from Tracy

will have to be replaced. I will rotate Tracy's plate to move
the starter up along side the exhaust side of the engine. Lots of pictures
when I get back from vacation.

When I get the plate done I will using the boring head to cut some holes
in Ken's peripheral port rotor housings.

I also received the 1-1/2 inch dia. 1/8 wall 4130 tubing for the motor
mount cup holders so that will be cut up and shipped off to the welder

soon

as well. Keep plugging away.

Keep the aluminum C channel Ken. I got enough material for two of those 
so I have one. Do you have or can borrow a band saw that can cut 1/2 inch 
aluminum?  A variable speed saber saw would also work with the right blade,
speed setting and bear fat lube. My neighbor John Lynch has agreed to let 
me use his Do-All but I don't want to take advantage of his generosity 
by cutting several plates.

Perhaps I can do some of the stuff that requires a mill such as the 
oil seal bore and large pilot hole for the starter and you can do the rest.
All the bolt holes can be matched drilled on a drill press using the
old redrive plate as a pattern.

I can loan you the pilot turning that will align the two plates.
Also if you can talk Tracy into not shipping a redrive plate and giving
you some credit for it I can loan you my old plate to use as a hole
drilling pattern. 

BTW did you get your redrive yet?

Also BTW I widened mine out a bit so the overall width of the plate is 27 inches
giving me 29 inches center to center for the rubber bushings. More room
for turbo's or tangential mufflers.
