With several thousand car accidents each day involving a pressurized 50/50
mixture, someone would have noticed by now if this coolant is in any way
flammable.

Sorry to disappoint you Lynn but hot atomized 50/50 ethylene glycol & H2O is
flammable. Dump it out on a hot header and i don't think too much happens except a
bunch of smoke.
[This] Took out a bunch of ambulances until they replaced the heater hoses with silicone
high temp models. Looked over the recall notices as they were doing the retrofit.
