I would love to hear more about your installation.
I have done my intake system on a non turbo 13B almost exactly like you
describe.  Engine not run yet.  Exhaust system is 2 tangential 2" into a 5"
cylinder 8" long and an ovaled 3" tangent out the center of the 5" cylinder
and directly overboard.  This may be noisy but if I calculated the wave
propagation correctly it may dampen the noise pretty well.  May also
constrict the gas flow.
Will post more info when I run the engine.
