OK now I'm drooling. Your mount looks great. What are you using for the back
mount onto the firewall. I'm assuming that you are using the firewall mount
design on your site. How are you going to connect the mount to the front
cover/back cover for aircraft. I have a '76 front cover which was four bolts
in rectangular orientation which were used as engine mounts in the car. I'm
going to swap the '87 cover with the '76. Any comments?

Funny you should mention that. I just ordered some 1/2 inch 4130 tubing from
ACS and some 22001 Barry rubber mounts from MacMaster Carr.

Next project on the list. A small tripod off the firewall off set from
the center line as a rear mount. The part on the engine will be a
3/8 aluminum plate using some of the oil pan mounting bolts.
Here is a sketch. Pictures in a few days.

I am also using an early front cover; mine is off an '83 RX7.  Note that
if you are building a '86 or later 13b you will need an oil pan and oil
pickup off an '84 or '85 RX7 GSLE (13b) or you will need to build a
custom oil pan with a modified pickup.  I'm building a custom pan for my
RV-4 so this wasn't an issue for me.
