I kind of doubt the claim on less weight. The stock 2nd gen turbo weighs 25

pounds

and the stock turbo exhaust manifold weighs 11 pounds.

Yes, but what about the muffler and pipes compared with his simple J pipe?

Run the numbers John. For example:
Tracy is using a four inch pipe .035 wall about four feet long.
That is 603 square inches of SS. At .035 inches thick that is
21 cubic inches of SS. Stainless Steel has a density of .3 pounds
per cubic inch so Tracy's muffler weighs 6.33 pounds! A far cry from
a 25 pound turbo.
