I have talked to Steve Rahm in the past couple of weeks and was told that
the 300 lb. limit is mainly due to weight and balance considerations.  The
higher weight of the 13B can be accommodated if you can offset it for the
proper CG.  Also, Racing Beat in California produces aluminum intermediate
and side housings for the 13B.  They are somewhat pricey (approx.
$1200/each) but you could save at least 45-50 lbs. with these parts.
