Perry left for Phoenix this morning around 10 AM I would guess.
I dropped him at Van Nuys at 8 AM. I think he is planning
to get together with Chuck Dunlap. Hopefully Chuck will have a
digital camera. (My wife took mine early this morning so unfortunately
I was unable to get pictures at VNY).

What is amazing... Perry has almost 200 hours on this box stock
120,000 mile right-out-of-the-junkyard engine with no problems 
so far. His cockpit heater is working too well so he has to seal 
off the air inlet from the bottom mounted aux oil cooler.

Another little known fact! Perry has a King aircraft radar mounted in the
nose radome and all.

His next project is a little aerodynamic clean up around the hub of the
fan. This entails moving the radiator under the engine  forward
a bit and increasing the fan hub diamter. He now has room to do that 
after moving his fuel sump forward of the firewall in the NACA duct 
opening.  My guess is he should pick up another 5 mph or so.
