The extra engine also let me pitch the prop for high alt cruise but
have full power on climb out. After I do more testing on this I may
offer the rotax cog belt and drive assembly as an add on mazda prsu
that I make.

Even one step further, you could put a triple 13B arrangement in a
Lionheart, the engines positioned with the eccentric shaft axes parallel,
the engines oriented 120 deg. from each other measured from the center of
the cluster, and each driving a planet gear in a large planetary reduction.
Would probably still be lighter than the FWFW of the R985.

Maybe but I doubt it. :-) The R-985 only weighs 653 pounds with
mags and starter. Three bare bones 13B's would be 600 pounds alone
not including the PSRU.

Hard to beat an aircooled radial engine on power to weight ratio.
