Hi Ken,
I did manage to get the outer oil control O-ring installed with great
difficulty. I was concerned that all the pushing and prying had damaged it
so I took it out to inspect the 0-ring. The outer Teflon sheath was nicked
in several places and crimped around most of the diameter. I purchased the
inner Teflon encapsulated O-ring that was recommended on the Internet several
months ago. Anyway, it wouldn't work at all and it was destroyed
completely. I think I may have even damaged an oil control ring while trying
to force things too much.
