lies flat. I can change the shape of my cooler duct and remove the air
guides. The oil cooler air flows upward directly onto the oil pan.
I also found the gear set for the Ross drive may act as an oil pump which
pressurizes the oil seal. I added a small drain under the oil seal . The
oil has no way to get back to the reservoir. I drilled a hole in the bell
housing in order to get the tube, from the bell face back outside the
housing. It will go to the pan.
I also found that I put he .030" washer next to the gear and I intended to
put the .060 washer there. Ross has chamfered his .060 washer to get away
from the radius between the gear/shaft intersection. I will revise my
thrust bearing and put a .060 washer near the gear with relief for the
radius.

Lying flat is not a problem if the duct is correct.
Don't forget to shield that exhaust pipe from the oil cooler Jerry.
