Are the metal oil control rings part of a typical rebuild? At Mazdatrix's

have my manual handy - Is a spec given for them?

Yes there is a spec and it has to do with the width of the shinny part that
actually does the rubbing. I don't have it right at the moment however.
The drawback would be a bit more oil consumption.

These oil control rings are sold in a set but do they need to be used
together in a set on the same rotor or can I put one of the inners on rotor#3
and an outter on rotor#1?? Any idea about this Paul??
Thanks !!
Don Mitchell

New ones can be mixed and matched. The spec on the wear is a max of .020
wide.
