The commercial process is to use a process called "amine stripping" where the
CO2 reacts with amines at one temperature and they are regenerated at
another.  For less stringent removal, one can compress the gas with a Roots
blower (which uses water as the seal of the rotor) and use COLD water running
through the blower to dissolve some of the CO2, makes carbonated water.  Not
as effective as amine stripping.

Thanks Bill. I am kind of curious about all this. I wonder what the
world's supply of bio gas is compared to the world's supply of oil
based on their energy potential. I'll bet it is a tiny fraction.

Seems something like this would be practical for a large chicken
or livestock farm. Especially if it were co-generation and/or a compound
internal-combustion/steam-turbine engine.
