For what its worth, i recently received the quickbuild gullwing door
for my Lancair ES and it is totally carbon.  Unlike the Lancair IV,
the ES is mostly S-glass.  It was delivered with the plexi-glass
window installed.  I figure there must be a pretty good reason for
Lancair to make the door and frame out of carbon.  It also uses an
inflatable door seal.  Anybody know of a cost-effective lighweight
pump for this sort of application?

A friend added a door seal & used the squeeze bulb from a
pre-electronics blood pressure check kit. Might be too low
tech for a lancair, though...
