Matt, got any drawings of the engine and cooling radiator arrangement?

Chris here,
We do not have drawings, however, we've been studying all of the installs
you have done and will be shamelessly copying you guys (flattery). We've
been considering making a mount system to mount the whole thing on the front
of a plow truck, taking it out to the Salt Flats, and working all the bugs
out of the cooling system on the ground. If we can get it to cool at full
power at 70 mph, we'll have no problem in the aircraft. Then we'll just
de-couple it from the truck and mount it to the plane.

Sounds like a really great idea. Good to have the salt flats in your backyard.

The fuselage plug was foamed in between the bulkheads, glassed, and then
filled and sanded until we had a great finish. I believe there are pictures
of this on the site. The tan finish you see on the plug now is super
expensive DuPont primer, hence the reason we used the PVA mold release for
the female mold. The primer was sprayed on with and HVLP.

What is HVLP?

That is supposed to read an HVLP. High Volume Low Pressure... it's a spray
gun designed to get more of the $200/gallon paint on your part and less as
overspray, mandatory in CA I think.
