Paul, I don't know much about fuel injection so this may be a very
ignorant question, but are there fuel injectors appropriate for the
13-b that screw in? It would be a lot easier to come up with a
threaded boss than a clamping mechanism. I admit, I don't know why
they are designed the way they are. Years ago, I had an Air Flow
Performance intake that had screw in injectors.

Second question, What size single throttle body do I need? With my
engine I inherited a very nice twin 1 3/4" throttle body. I don't
know if it is Mazda original equipment. I would rather have a
single because of space limitations.

Thanks, Jerry

Not that I know of. Most of them fit in a smooth bore with
an O ring seal. Same goes for the fuel rail. The fuel rail
holds the injectors into the smooth bore in the intake
manifold proper. BTW the simple trick to make a fuel rail
is use 1/2 inch square steel tubing with round slugs
welded on. Ream the holes for the injectors to get a
smooth bore for the O-rings.

Twin 1.75" TB's ought to work pretty good. I suspect the Le Man
engine with peripheral ports was 2 inch to 2.25 inch ID TB's per
rotor. Course that was generating 120 HP per rotor at 6000 RPM.
Side ports just don't breathe as well so a smaller TB is fine.
