Jerry, just thought of something. I would rotate the oil cooler 90 degrees
so the air will only have to make one 90 degree turn when entering the
cooler. The exit would work better too.

I had come to the same conclusion yesterday.   In the rotated
position, the top of the oil cooler can be against the firewall,
saving nearly all the space laying the cooler flat requires.   I am
also looking at inclining  the oil cooler  45º.  Jerry
