Kevin,
Saw that a little while back, sent me scurring off on the search for this
elusive rotary engine 14 thousand web pages later - no real joy, but
there are a few rotary motors in the US being developed. One which
got my interest was for a hybrid power bus - it looked like a 13b
without the centre housing. I suppose that would be good provided
you had the exhaust out of the rotor housing and a thin steel plate
like Paul's end plate housing suggestion.

It is most likely a Moller wankel rotary as that is about the only rotary that
is sufficiently developed and that also has the necessary high power to weight ratio.
