Well Paul,
You might not have noticed it but we don't have a lot of home grown PSRUs
there is a fair amount of R&D for such things. I would also make the one
like Tracys,
which is your choice, if I had the know-how. You've got to remember that
$3,000 US is
$6,000 Aust, and there is the transport cost and R&M considerations.
I know Don is looking at it and I wish him luck but even then he's on the
other side of Australia.
There is a real need for a reliable (at a reasonable cost) RSRU in Aust if
the car engine is to gain further acceptance.

George, the planetary  gear set for the Ford AOD is real cheap. Most of the used
transmission I have seen taken apart the planetary gear set is in excellent
condition and very usable. Its the tx clutches that go out first. I know you
have AOD tx's down there. If you start making something with your lower labor
rates you probably could sell it in the larger  U.S. market successfully.

Here is another excellent idea for you guys down there IMHO. Sell a housing
and shaft kit and let the people up here buy the TX parts locally and assemble
their own PSRU. Would also cut the cost of shipping to the states.

Another very real possibility would be for Tracy to move his major fab work
offshore like the big boys (ie Van and Lance), to a place like Australia,
and have both local and off site dealers. If the KIS rights belonged to
me, I would ship the fab to our So Africa friends in an instant.
