For you TIG welding gurus:
I've got most of the parts for my Mike Wills style intake manifold

fabricated
but as I'm not set up to weld aluminum I'm going to have to send it out
to a
welding shop. Building a jig to get all the little parts in the right
place would be no small task. I was wondering if I tack welded the
parts
together using aluminum brazing/soldering rod would the TIG welder be
able
to weld over it OK? All the tubes/parts are 6061t6 if that makes a
differance.

soldering rod or if you use flux and if that is considered a contaminate.
If there are no contaminates there's no problem, the tig will just blend it
all in.
You can use just about anything to TIG weld provided it's similar to the
base metal.
