I would forget this thing if I were you. It has some very serious problems.
I mentioned the scavenging problem already.
Here are a few things that I have seen so far.
The intrinsic mechanical compression ratio is half of a four cycle.
That means you need a really big air pump. That takes power to drive.
If you use a big turbo you still have the problem of starting
it. Same problem that Continental has with their two cycle turbo diesel.
The intake and exhaust ports are small and don't stay open as
long. The expansion cycle is half of what a four cycle would be.
Not to say these problems cannot be over come but it is not something
that will happen without a whole bunch of money put into R&D. You
may never be able to match the BSFC of the new side exhaust port four
cycle RX8 engine.
I think your idea of manufacturing and marketing a rotary powered helicopter
is a very good one but not with this engine.
