I got the Al plate in yesterday and it is sitting against the Bridgeport

now. Was doing a data verification and #4 10 mm bolt hole is at 226 degrees
not as 256 in the chart to the right?

Here is a screenshot with one of the pockets tool passes visible. Do you

want the lay lines like that (my favorite) or just a back and forth stepping
over with a border cleanup at the end?

Tracy how about that dimension? What is the angle on bolt hole number

four.

Check Tracy's back view drawing gif I sent Blake. I think you are looking

at the wrong

side for the angles. You are looking at the front side from this jpg you

sent.

Maybe I better UPS Tracy's plate to you just to be absolutely certain.

I can't tell from the inverted perspective shown.  To verify, I'd just
compare the angles between the holes and make sure the values match the
original drawing.

I think what Tracy is saying is;
The hole positions are not necessarily drawn in the right positions
but the angles and radii dimensions on the drawing are correct.

Hold off a few  days on the holes Blake and I will send you Tracy's plate on Friday UPS.
That and the one I matched drilled from it both fit. Cancel that.
I got a better idea. Don't drill the 10 MM holes. I can match drill them
from Tracy's plate. We do need the starter hole, center hole and counterbore
for the oil seal.

The pockets look great. Anyway you want to cut them is fine with me.

OK I discovered the problem. Tracy did not draw it to exact scale.
The hole positions  on Tracy drawing do not match his chart of dimensions.
I carefully measured all the angles on his drawing and here they are.

Don't drill the ten mm holes Blake. I will match drill them with
Tracy's plate which does indeed fit the engine.

Later on I will redraw the holes on the drawing to exact scale
when I figure out how to do that in ACAD R12.

Blake,

You meant hole number 7 (number 4 on Tracy's drawing) and my mistake in 
the chart on the right. I copied the chart incorrectly from Tracy's 
dimensions drawing. Had me confused there for awhile.

The proper location for hole number seven on my drawing
is 226 degrees 5' 56".  That would be hole 4 on Tracy's drawing.


Don't drill the 10 mm holes. I will fix things on my drawing soon.
I will go back to Tracy's numbering system for the holes
to reduce the potential for this kind of confusion.

This lack of dwg file compatibility is as bad as going to Mars
using the metric system instead of inches. :-)>
