It is a long story. I bought a new engine from Continental with a slightly
different dash number. 2000 hours TBO instead of only 1500 hours. Otherwise
nearly identical. I had to go through two years of FAA bureaucratic red tape
to get a one time field approval to do this. Also there were two crankshaft
AD's out on the engine during that two year time period.
