Hi Paul,

    I found this write up on electronic fuel injectors by RC engineering and
they cover some things I had never heard of about injectors and some of
their failure modes.  Nothing to put on your web site, but thought you may
be interested as they give some relative ranking on different manufactures
of injectors.

A piece of well taken advice on those electronic injectors-before you
install them, if they have been sitting around for over ONE week from date
of overhaul/cleaning, check out their ability to click open (with a wiring
harness and 12V battery to the two terminals). If they don't click, you get
NO gas. The solvent the cleaning places use sticks after a short time!
(Don't ask why they don't rinse them with something after, you get
something like "that never happens" from them).
Here is how you get them to work-SLAM them down on a thick board repeated
times till they click!
I know this to be a fact as I have rebuilt three 13Brew engines and this
happened to me every time. Out of 12 injectors only 1 didn't stick. Now I
test and slam them all first before I install them.
I used Marren Motor Sports to rebuild and clean them, but I know other
shops use the same solvents and procedures.
