Reading all the above subject messages reminds me of a tale told me by a RAF
officer some years ago.
Prior to WWII the British wanted to build a highway  from Dover to Scotland
going thru London to facilitate
high speed traffic.  After receiving bids from almost all the contractors
world wide it was discovered the Germans underbid all competeters by a large
margine.

Then it hit them: A super long landing strip the length of Britain.  Well!
Well!

Anyone driving in Britain will notice the 'round-abouts' about every few
miles.  Very smart. Been there, done that.
