I realized that you came on the list after we had a big long discussion
about this subject. And for the new guys.  Here is a picture of a test rig 
I built to verify K & W and Kays & London contentions. They do indeed work.
I used a digital wind speed indicator to survey the flow distribution coming out
of the back side of this test rig to verify that the flow was indeed uniform.
