OK I boiled an outer .103" O-ring to 212 F as we are near sea level here.
I started at room temp of 71 F.

NO measurably increase in section diameter! It may have been
one or two thou but it is really hard to measure them consistently
to that tolerance. 

Tom if you still have that O-ring please send me a piece.
I'll try to figure out what happened.
