Your exactly right Paul. The '86 and up engines rotor housings were
drastically changed (castings) in the coolant chambers. This was done to
achieve a warmer engine to meet new emission standards. As was the oil by
pass in the eccentric shaft. To bring heat into the the engine faster for
emissions sake. Cold engines are very bad for emissions. And your right it
brings the threshold of overheat to a fine point.Water jacket mods are great
or a large radiator.Adding oil heat to this series engine I think is not
