OK, the hidden bolt hole on the upper right hand flange that you cannot get a bolt to angle into the hole and were considering a stud on the block (up to speed now? :)
.. so what about slotting the hole to the edge of the flange?
There are several ways to approach this:
1. just change hole to a slot that breaks out of flange edge (simplest)
2. same as #1 but move edge out further to beef up edge.
3. move edge out far enough to use a slotted hole (no chance of corner breaking off) that would allow bolt to be screwed in most of the way then manifold correctly positioned and rest of bolts inserted. This is similar to the stud and nut approach, I just have disdain for studs (no comments please :)

A slot is a good idea Chrissi.

Studs have their place. Studs change the stress distribution in assemblies in a positive
manner. Not a factor here however. Don't get me started on this or you will
have to look at a bunch of scanned images of stress distributions in bolted
and studded assemblies :-)>
