software and no longer use the scanner - I give up!

* Well, you all bought the more consumer models.... Generally under $150
* Might have something to do with it, I bought a more professional model
since I had a pretty serious background in Photography and had a good idea
of the quality I wanted. We have similar models to mine (HP6200C) up to 3
years older (5 years now) used daily in engineering departments (Boeing) and
they still work fine. And the software support is decent, I now run Windows
XP Pro...and found full support for it...unlike Epson for my Inkjet. When I
shopped mine...everywhere I looked it was $399. HP controlled price. Dell
offered to beat it when I was ordering my system, and they did. $60 off!
Same with my Printer. Sometimes you get what you pay for sadly.....
