Tracy,
Sounds pretty good, I imagine it would be possible to fair the muffler
and
get that 2-3 mph back. I went to the spintech website. As far as I can
tell
they just sell mufflers. Does this mean that we still need to build our
manifolds? How do we order the one that you have?

I hope so. Tried fairing it with some .020" inconel I had around but found
I could not weld it satisfactorily using my gas rig.
Too soon to say that the one I ordered is the optimum or that it will last.
So far so good though. The nice thing about them is that they will make
them to fit YOUR application. There is nothing magic about the one I
ordered other than the special material. Check their website for sizes etc.
This one is 16 x 9 x 3 with center 2.25" inlet & outlet. There is a picture
of the installation on my website.
In a one of a kind order, they are expensive (a group of us rotor-heads
got together and bought this one just to test for $375.00) but now that
they have the 321 in stock the cost would be about $100 less. I don't know
if the 321 is absolutely necessary. A 304 SS version is about $100 so might
be worth trying.
