Herb said his airplane was more efficient than the Paser Mustang which I think
is probably similar to the 180 HP Mustang in this chart that went 235 MPH.
I'll have to run my program on that airplane tomorrow and figure its
drag number. Does anybody have Paser's book?

I have Paser's book. What do you need from it?

What does Paser say the equivalent flat plate number for his airplane is?
Thanks.
BTW I am working on a program where you put in the top speed and HP and it
calculates the drag number or flat plate number.

Sorry, Paul, but I don't find that value listed. Tons of others but the
efp# is not one of them. I have read the book twice now, and just
scanned it again per your request, but no luck.
For your program, his best top speed was 28 Jan 1992 of 209 mph IAS, 216
CAS, and 243 TAS at 6000 feet with OAT of 16C at 3000 rpm, 23.9 MP, and
burning 12 gph (table 8-8, p 151.) However, there are several "top
speeds" listed in his tables -- this was just the highest number I could
find.
Engine is a Lycoming O-320 (P72, column 2) with 160 hp (p 133, col 1)
with 8.5:1 compression ratio and Lycoming numbers indicate a 0.48 BSFC.

Not everybody uses Equivalent Flat Plate. A subtle concept difficult to
understand. ACS has the book. I might buy a copy next time I am over there.
Thanks for the data point.
