I have used simlar scales based on lever multipliers, and found them a

pain in the neck, and

rather innaccurate. Remember the old saying that the pain of poor

quality outlasts the satisfaction

of low price. Chap 723 bought a set of auto digital scales for about

$1300, and have been

quite happy - a small chapter donation for each use will help defray

the initial cost.

  Thanks for confirming my fears regarding the RuggleS'cales.  I noted that
Intercom makes both race car and aircraft scales. Do the race car (4 load
cells) scales work OK using only 3 load cells?  Are there any problems or
tricks to setting it up for use with a 3 wheeled vehicle?
