Aside from the efficiency benefit of a direct injected stratifed charge

JetA. That is also the key to the engine's desirability for military and
commercial marine applications.
I seem to recall that the lack of a lubricity agent in JetA (needed for the fuel
pump) is one of the niggling little problems. I know it's an issue for running
Diesel engines with their very high pressure fuel pumps; I dunno if it is an issue
with the 40psi (?) fuel pumps in the Mazda. I wonder if it would be an issue for
the apex seal?
